Bezi is a startup accelerator that empowers high-potential Africans in their journey to build world-class companies. The goal is to become the one-stop shop where first-time African
founders look for mentorship, funds, and resources needed to create and build companies that stand the test of time.
Bezi's audience typically includes startup founders, investors, and entrepreneurs in the startup ecosystem.
Role
My role as a Content Strategist involves creating content tailored to the target audience, increasing brand awareness, and ultimately ensuring the company message reaches the right people.
Responsibilities
- Social media management: Handled all of Bezi’s social media handles, ensuring maximum engagement and adequate content distribution across Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and TikTok.
- Content creation: Created content for Bezi targeting early-stage startup founders and investors.
- Project Management: Co-managed the Bezi Fellowship Program, an accelerator program for early-stage startup founders.
Results
- Increased the number of followers on LinkedIn within four months of joining the team (900 - 2k)
- Ideated and created a video content series “Bezi Shorts” which shares tips and strategies about running a startup from reputable Mentors like Victor Asemota, Tayo Oviosu (Founder & CEO Paga), Andres Bilbao (VC), etc. during fellowship programs to encourage more registrations.
- Was instrumental in the success of the Bezi Fellowship Program, which had a 70% success rate.
